grill is a testing framework to test xiron itself and the underlying xine-lib in almost all aspects. the tests itself are written using unit testing classes shipped with ruby. these tests are run against a set of media files provided by the user. the test results are available as xml and can be formatted to html.
grill is in a very early state of development. it can be found in cvs (module xiron-new). here is an html report generated by grill.
